Editing: The Listening Ear Project [Two Samples]
In August of 2020, Katie Cheesman brought me onto her team for part-time work. The Listening Ear Project is dedicated to telling the stories of aging grandparents by interviewing them on video for posterity and relatives to enjoy for years to come. After serving an internship for school credit, Katie hired me on for paid work. Katie enjoys an active, passionate following on Instagram and sends her posts over to me to edit.

I tried to keep edits to a minimum so I could preserve her voice and style. This was a personal email she sent to her subscribers in a monthly newsletter, and it needed only a few little changes to deliver a powerful, personal effect to potential new clients.
