Houston Astros COMMS 319R Project (Writing/Editing)

Published on

During the Winter 2020 Semester at BYU, I helped write and edit an extensive research project on the Houston Astros' image repair strategy. While my writing was accurate, scientifically-based, and engaging, my most extensive contributions to the final paper consisted of edits such as simplifying, unifying nine authors' voices, coordinating with team members and our TA, searching for references, formatting for appropriate style, and even naming the document. Out of the 10 total group members and two advisors, I was listed as the third contributor out of twelve, which in academics means I was considered by my peers as the third most substantial contributor.

This extensive document spans 31 pages, and was once much larger. I helped make tough decisions about which paragraphs and pages to cut, and how to unite everything from all our authors in an unusually large group project.

Here's a link to the document. If you click on the comment icon in the upper-right hand corner, it will show you a history of the documents' comments and suggested changes, and clicking "See new changes" or "Last change made on such and such date and time" will show a more extensive version history of this immense undertaking.
